Was I the only one who was offended by the invocaton and speaker (“Bishop”) who preached a sermon with more religious content than I get a Sunday Mass at St EAS? The point is that the DEC is a quasi-governmental entity and should not be a forum for religious exercises. Given that February is Black History Month I doubt if MLK would have given so much to bible references and the interchanges between Jesus and his aapostles as was heard that night. This was a public audience make up of members of many faiths and non-religious. In a word – imapporopriate. One Bible-Thumper’s opinion.
